Is it just me or has this summer gone by insanely fast? Now it’s that time of year where we all panic, realizing we’ll soon be ditching our tank tops for jackets, and our barbecues for nights huddled under blankets. With that panic comes an accelerated need to cram in all things summer-related as soon and as frequently as possible (and take plenty of photos of it because it didn’t happen if it isn’t on the ‘gram).
One of the best places to enjoy that laid back summer vibe is in the Seaport District, kicking back some brews and totally Instagrammable craft burgers at Clinton Hall. The brew list changes weekly, so things never really get old, and it’s like magic elixir for the soul to do this on a summer afternoon in the sun-drenched space. Plus, once you’re finished, there’s plenty of cute little boutiques, shops and a Garden Bar in the area to enjoy. It’s funny how the Seaport District is no longer synonymous with tourists looking for the Aeropostale store, a feeling I welcome after seeing many of my favorite Manhattan small businesses get pushed out by big box chains (#ismanhattandead?). Here are some highlights from my last visit to Clinton Hall, including the Fondue Burger (as ‘grammable as it sounds), onion rings that give me life (although I’m not sure I’ve met an onion ring that didn’t do that) and a fried chicken sandwich that’s got a biscuit for a bun (and now I want biscuits as my buns for everything).
