If you’ve been following my Instagram stories, you know I’m currently obsessed with turmeric. And so is everyone else apparently because I’ve seen many a turmeric latte popping up at coffee shops all over NYC. After getting back from our wild Vegas trip (aka drinking for like 4 days straight), I made myself all sorts of turmeric drinks to help de-puff since it’s a natural anti-inflammatory. I also use it fairly often to cut the pain from sore muscles after a big workout, which I totally needed after getting my ass kicked at the gym the other day. I’ll usually have some right after getting home from the gym.

As the weather has gotten warmer, though, I’ve been craving iced drinks. So I tried my hand at an iced turmeric latte last week. Now it’s my mid-morning jam that keeps me motivated until lunchtime. It’s sweet, a bit spicy like a chai, and has tons of health benefits & color. It’s totally customizable depending on what type of milk you use and how sweet you like your lattes. I use whole milk when I want a richer drink, but also go the non-dairy almond milk route when I want to keep it light. Whether you make this for a friend who’s popped by to impress the hell out of them, or just keep it all to yourself, I guarantee it’ll become a spring/summer staple once you try it.

Also, if you want to try your hand at a turmeric dessert, check out this Homemade No-Churn Turmeric Ice Cream recipe I put together last year. Health benefits in dessert? That’s what I call a happy situation.
