Reese’s Puffs Cereal Popcorn

Reese’s Puffs cereal was a staple in my dorm room. It was breakfast, it was lunch, it was a late night snack–let’s be honest, it was ALL THINGS. I haven’t really touched the stuff since except for the occasional post-GNO booze-fueled purchase. But it’s soooo good, so when my pals Alyssa & Michelle decided to throw a ‘Back To School’ theme party where we revamped our college food staples, I thought, why not make a popcorn flavor out of the sweet, peanut buttery puffs?

It’s chocolatey and peanut buttery and crunchy–it hits all the snack attack cravings in one fell swoop. And it only takes 10 minutes to make. — There’s no wrong way to eat a Reese’s 😉

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Yield: 6 cups popcorn

Serving Size: 1 cup

Chocolatey, peanut buttery popcorn coated in classic Reese's Puffs cereal. A quick snack that's great for on-the-go!

  • 3 cups Reese's Puffs Cereal
  • 6 cups plain popcorn, popped
  • 3 ounces bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter
  • Other Equipment
  • large ziplock bag
  • large bowl
  • small bowl
  • spoon
  • hands 🙂

  1. Put 2 1/2 cups of the Reese's Puffs into a ziplock bag and crush with your hands until most pieces are finely broken up.
  2. Place popcorn into large bowl.
  3. Put chocolate into a small, microwave safe bowl and heat for about 30 seconds in microwave, until chocolate is melted. Stir in peanut butter with the chocolate and pour over popcorn along with the crushed Reese's Puffs.
  4. Use your hands to thoroughly coat all of the popcorn with the chocolate and Puffs. Allow to sit for 20 minutes to an hour before eating. When ready to serve, add in remaining whole Reese's Puffs.
